Pulp and Paper Industrial Applications
The kraft process, also known as kraft pulping, is a widely used method in the paper and pulp industry for converting wood into pulp, which is the essential raw material for papermaking. This process involves boiling wood chips in a mixture of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium sulfide (Na2S) under high temperature and pressure. The chemicals break down the lignin, a natural polymer that binds wood fibers together, while leaving the cellulose fibers largely intact. Once the lignin is dissolved and removed, the resulting pulp can be bleached and processed into paper products.
Elite Valve specializes in providing customized solutions for corrosive, high pressure, and demanding process applications that help our customers improve their process reliability and productivity.
